Uttranchal Minerals

Uttaranchal has rich mineral deposits of limestone, soapstone, magnesite etc., besides minor minerals. Resource mapping is being undertaken. The state also holds some other important ores of gypsum, limestone, graphite, copper, and iron. These minerals are used by industries and sources of large revenues for the state. –
